RULES TO BE APPLIED FOR COVID-19 POSITIVE AND CONTACTED STUDENTS IN ORDER TO SIT FOR THE FINAL AND RESIT EXAM.

RULES TO BE APPLIED FOR COVID-19 POSITIVE AND CONTACTED STUDENTS IN ORDER TO SIT FOR THE FINAL AND RESIT EXAM.

1.      Students will have antigen test every week. The result of the antigen test they will have will be valid for 7 days.

2.      All students will have the results of their antigen tests with them as document.

3.      The student whose antigen test is positive will have a PCR test on the same day and will send the result (document) to the Academic Advisor via e-mail.

4.      Academic Advisors will submit the students' documents to the Dean's Office/Head office on a daily basis.

5.      Positive results will be reported to the Covid Coordinator and the Rectorate by the Deans/School Managers.

6.      If the antigen test is positive, the student will come to the University if the PCR test is negative.

7.      The student whose PCR test is positive will not come to the University, he/she will isolate himself/herself and follow the instructions from the Pandemic hospital.

8.      Quarantined students will notify their academic advisors by sending the document stating the quarantine period they will receive from the Pandemic hospital at the end of their quarantine and the names of the exams they could not take during the quarantine.

9.      Following the decision of the TRNC Supreme Council of Health, fully vaccinated people who come into contact with people positive for Covid 19 will continue their normal lives by wearing masks and following their symptoms. Thus, they will be able to take the final exams.

10.  Students who have been contacted and have been vaccinated will have antigen tests on the 5th day if they have no symptoms and earlier if they do. Unvaccinated students or those who have not received a complete vaccination will be isolated for 7 days and will have a PCR test at the end of that week. These students will not be able to take their exams on the relevant dates.

11.  Those who are unvaccinated or under-vaccinated are required to submit the document they will receive from the Pandemic hospital at the end of their contact quarantine, which indicates the period of quarantine, to their Academic Advisors.

12.  Academic advisors will forward copies of the documents to Dean's Offices/School Directors, and Dean's/School Directors will forward them to the Covid Coordinator.

13.  Students with Covid 19 positive or unvaccinated contacts will take the make-up exams for the exams they could not take at the end of the quarantine period. Make-up exams will be held on make-up exam days. Since the make-up exam, they have taken will replace the final exam, students who fail the exam will also be able to take the make-up exams on the dates determined by their academic units.

14.  The make-up exam to be taken by students who cannot take the make-up exams due to being positive for Covid 19 will be determined by the relevant academic unit administrative board and announced to the students.

15.  Only contact students who are quarantined due to Covid 19 positive or unvaccinated/under-vaccinated will be able to enter the aforementioned make-up exams.
