Here’s what you need to know: The information and application process for the 2024-2025 academic year Student Council elections is presented below. Each Faculty and School is required to have at least one candidate participate.

 

Student Council Election Schedule:

 

• Application Dates: October 16–30, 2024
  Candidates for the Student Council can submit their written applications to their respective faculty/school administration during this period.
• Candidate Approval Notification: October 31 – November 1, 2024
  Approved applications from the relevant faculty/school must be reported to the Student Dean's Office by the candidates by the specified dates.
• Candidate Promotion Period: November 4 – November 14, 2024
  Candidates will promote themselves during this date range.
• Election Day: November 18, 2024, Monday
  The Student Council elections will take place on this date.

 

Each Faculty and School must nominate at least 1 and at most 3 candidates.

 

                                                           What is the Student Council?

 

The Student Council is composed of council members elected from each faculty/school. This council can undertake activities related to all matters and events concerning students, subject to the relevant approvals. It aims to address the educational, health, sports, and cultural needs of registered associate and undergraduate students at KİÜ, establish effective communication between the university administration and students, convey students’ demands and expectations to the governing bodies, and ensure students' participation in decisions regarding their educational processes.
