World Nurses Day

UNITED IN CARING, COURAGE AND COMPASSION

Some of our life’s special moments are being taken care of by a nurse – from the first day when we are born to the last when we pass away as well as all the many days in between when we need care and comfort. Nurses Week gives us a perfect opportunity to show our gratitude to all the nurses who care for us and our dearests; putting into words just how much they mean to us. And that is why we honor Nurses Week, to show our gratitude to those who spend countless hours caring for us and make sure we, and the people we love, are being cared for and feeling comfortable.

Moments to remember!

Nursing is a profession requiring knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a systematic guide to patient-centered care. Especially, during this unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic, nurses are being challenged to deliver most significant care under extraordinary circumstances. As expected, nurses rise to the occasion and are able to manage the different aspects of our professional responsibilities with grace and dignity under pressure.

In celebration of Nurses Week, I would like to send a heartfelt thank you, to honor the commitment, dedication and hard work of those in the nursing profession and of those becoming amazing nurses. United in caring, courage and compassion.

‘I am of certain convinced that the greatest heroes are those who do their duty in the daily grind of domestic affairs whilst the world whirls as a maddening dreidel.’
